Belize’s fuel prices are regulated by the Government of Belize, and while the Ministry of Finance previously published detailed pump price breakdowns, those publications stopped in September 2023. Since then, there has been no centralized public tool to track price movements over time. This dashboard fills that gap, bringing together monthly average pump prices for premium gasoline, regular gasoline, and diesel, covering a period that spans the Russia-Ukraine war price shock and the most recent surge driven by conflict in the Middle East.

What does the dashboard show?

The dashboard includes four views: pump prices in Belize dollars per gallon, global crude oil benchmarks (WTI and Brent) in Belize dollars per barrel, a percentage change comparison that puts fuel and crude on the same scale, and an excise duty breakdown showing how much of the pump price is government tax versus other costs. Click on any data point to explore prices for that month, and use the filters to adjust the time range or isolate specific fuel types.
